Juvenile Academy
U7 Boys
We had a very entertaining session on Sunday morning, the lads got a great run and much needed exercise away from the festival for a while. We played a challenge game against the girls and once the lads got over their shyness, it was a very exciting match, with some great skills on show!
U8 Girls
Well done to all the girls on Sunday morning last, They showed how they are improving every week with all their skills. The girls finished off the training session when
they played a fun match against the under 7 boys. Without doubt the girls had the boys under pressure!! Keep up the practice at home girls!
U9
Our u9’s had a great session this week. We worked on our kicking and tackling and had a quick possession game followed by a very competitive 5 a side game. Well done
to all the boys!
U11
St Pats U-11’s played at home against Templenoe lastThursday in the penultimate round of Central Region League. Despite the wintry weather conditions, all our St Pats future stars played brilliantly. The coaches were delighted to see all our boys show great handling, kicking, scoring, and blocking skills. A big thanks to our young stars Darragh & Tommy for togging out for us, they both played very well. A special mention to AJ our goalie for the evening, the continuous rain didn’t deter AJ as he pulled off some great saves for his team and his kickouts were outstanding. We are scheduled to play Castleisland Desmonds at home this Thursday evening the 24th, hope to see ye all there. It’s important ye all continue to attend our training sessions and also keep practicing your skills at home during the week. The training and match details for the week will be circulated to parents shortly. Naomh Pádraig Abú!!
U12 Girls
Training continued this week for the U12 Girls.
U14 Girls
The U-14 girls were unfortunately defeated in their semi final away to Inbhear Sceine Gaels. They made the long bus trip to the scenic pitch of Templenoe on Monday evening last. Our girls really put it up to the opposition and had an outstanding game working as a team and scoring some mighty points and even slipping in a few goals in ISG’s net! The game was decided in the last quarter with no subs to call on and legs tiring, a few quick goals from ISG in the dying minutes saw St. Pats chances of reaching the final disappear! The Girls as always put on a great performance and once again they never gave up. It was a huge achievement to get to a semi final with such a young team. Thanks to all our supporters for making the long journey and encouraging our girls from the sideline. We madea quick stop at the shop on the way home and all the smiles were back again before the windmill was in sight!
Best Wishes
To Jace Flynn who competes Community Games National Finals in Carlow next weekend to compete in the Long Jump.
