2021 Football Roadmap

The GAA last week revealed the revised 2021 fixtures for the club and county seasons. A summary of football activities is given below:

Intercounty training – Only permitted to Seniors and will commence 19th April. No training yet for U20 and minors

Allianz Football League – Run from 15/16 May to potential league finals on June 19/20with teams split into North and South based on geography.

2021 Football Championships – The provincial championships start on 26/27 June in a straight knock-out format without qualifiers. The All-Ireland football final is down for decision on 28/29 August.

Club Provisions – Club championships can commence once the county has been eliminated from the championship. A club-only window will run from 4/5 September and provincial club championships will begin from 20/21 November. The provincial club championships will run until 15/16 January. All-Ireland club finals will take place on 12/13 February.

2020/2021 Minor and 2021 U20 Football – Details will be finalized when there is clarity on a return to training/play date.

Club Membership 2021 While we still await a definitive date of when training and games activities resume, we are working on being prepared to start without delay once a date is confirmed. One step in these preparations is to have members registered and in particular playing members. Players of all ages will need to be registered with the GAA via the Club to allow participation in activities and to complete health questionnaires as part of the ‘Return to Play’ protocol. The GAA has introduced a new on-line system which provides for self-service membership registration and payment for individuals and families. The system is called Foireann, which is Irish for Team, and can be accessed via the Club website or type into your internet browser. Members who set up a ‘ReturnToPlay’ account in 2019 to complete the Health Questionnaires can access their Foireann account by using the same logon id and password as used last year. If you don’t have a ReturnToPlay account then you can register a new account very easily on Foireann. Go to and follow the instructions for New user. If you go to the Club website further information is provided and if you encounter any difficulties send an email to Sean at<>

Last Man Standing Competition

263 players commenced our competition and nine weeks later the competition is now down to 7 players Wolves and Arsenal both won their respective games resulting in the seven players progressing to week 10. Unfortunately for 3 players Man City recorded a rare defeat to Leeds and elimination is the fate for those 3 players.
Best of luck to the remaining 7 players in Week 10.
