Lotto

There was no winner of our Club Lotto Jackpot on Sunday night last. The numbers drawn were 2, 10, 17 & 20. The five €30 consolation prizes went to Cathal Moriarty Curraheen, Brendan and Shannon Quill Lohercannon, Paudie Bailey Tonevane, Enzo c/o O’Shea’s Texaco and Katie Burke Curraheen.

Next week’s Lotto will have a Jackpot of €4,000 and the draw will take place this Sunday night Mar 5th in Skelper Quane’s Bar.

St Pats Gaa Weekly Lotto was 20 years Old on Thursday 26th of January and was started 20 years ago by then Chairman Mike Crean, Secretary Jim Moriarty and Treasurers Paul Byrne & Jimmy Savage and has served the club well. The first lotto draw was made on Sunday January 26th 1997.

To celebrate this occasion, St Pats will enter all lotto players who play the club lotto either weekly, monthly or yearly from the 23rd of January until the 5th of June into a special draw for 2 All Ireland Football tickets plus 2 night’s accommodation on the Saturday and Sunday night of the All Ireland weekend. Juvenile Academy

U6: Well done to Grace Costello, Seamus Hingston, Jace and Rylan Flynn who put in a great training session last Sunday morning but a huge well done to Noah Flynn who received our player of the week trophy by showing great skill and determination throughout the session. Keep up the good work.

U8: Another great session was enjoyed by this young group of emerging stars, with a lot of fun and games had during the hour. It is great and encouraging to see all the kids improving weekly, especially our player of the week, Rodhan Culloo. Rodhan is one of the players showing consistent improvement and great commitment at the Academy sessions. Training continues next Sunday at Pres. Hall at 10am.

U10: St Pats under 10’s Academy were training again last Sunday in the Pres hall. There was a great turnout of players all eager to learn and show off their skills. It was great to see all the players putting in a great effort especially Daniel Sheehy, Caolinn Culloo, Grainne Breen and Darragh Murphy. Well done to player of the week Mark O’Brien, keep up the good work. It’s important everyone keeps practicing their skills at home during the week. We are back training again Sunday morning same time 11am and same location.

U12: Our boys and girls had a great training session last Sunday in Presentation Hall. Training continues on our astro pitch on Sunday at 11.30am. Please don’t forget your gum shields.

U12 Girls: Girls football for U10 and U12s starting soon. We are looking for girls from the ages of 9 to 12 who aren’t with a GAA club and living within the Tralee Town area. They will be most welcome to enjoy the friendly sociable experience. For more information, contact Martina on 087 2849360.

U14: Training continues on Thursday at 6.30pm on our astro turf.

U16: Training continues on Friday from 6pm to 7pm on our astro turf.

Seniors

Our seniors kicked off their 2017 football season in the St Brendan’s League when they played local rivals, Na Gaeil in storm Ewan swept Blennerville last Sunday afternoon. The result was a loss with Na Gaeil’s Darragh Carmody doing damage in the first half scoring 1-02. We never recovered from this as the away side ran out comfortable winners on a scoreline of St Pats 0-4 Na Gaeil 1-09.

Our next match is this Sunday, the 5th of March when we will be at home to Ardfert. Throw-in time is at 2pm. Best of luck lads!

Dingle Way Challenge 2017

Plans for the biggest and best DWC are well underway. The date is set for June 4th (keep that date free and marked in your diaries and calendars). The route is now finalised with launch and registration dates to be confirmed soon. There are already sightings of some individuals training on the Slieve Mish mountains!

Blennerville/Ballyard Community Games

Well done to the U15 girls Futsal who placed 5th last Sunday in Duagh. The team was made up of Jade Harkin, Emma Savage, Keelin Enright, Cathy Dwyer, Grace O Mahoney, Freya O Connor and Ciara Fitzgibbon.
