Return of The St Pats Academy
With the government guidelines allowing for outdoor training for underage groups from April 26th, our academy (U5, U7, U9 and U9-U12 girls) will return on Sunday May 2nd at our club grounds in Blennerville at 10:30am. If you are interested in enrolling your child with St Pats, please contact our Juvenile Co-Ordinator Joe Costello on 0872593800. We are a vibrant progressing club and we welcome all children from the Tralee town area to come join us and parents are encouraged to get involved and support our future stars.
Covid-19 Update
Return to training – Non-contact training in pods of 15 will be permitted for our underage (any registered team at U18 and below) teams from the 26th of April. As with previous return to training, the key control measures remain completion of the online education module (courses.gaa.ie/Covid19ClubEd/#/) if it wasn’t completed last year and completion of the Health Questionnaire (returntoplay.gaa.ie/) before each session. ALL coaches, admin, supervisors must ALSO complete this.
This can be either submitted online or with a hard copy.
NOBODY WILL BE ALLOWED ONTO THE PITCH UNTIL THE ABOVE HAS BEEN COMPLETED.
A Covid supervisor will be checking everyone in before each training session.
Also note that all indoor facilities must remain closed.
Attendance at training – In general, only players and coaches of the relevant team should attend any training session. One Parent or Guardian per child (or per family if more than one child is attending from a particular family) is permitted to attend in a safeguarding /supervisory capacity involving any team in the U-18 or below age group, should they consider it necessary. However strict social distancing and public health guidelines should be adhered to at all times.
In particular, it is important that parents do not congregate in groups before or after sessions, outside of what is permitted in current Government regulations.
Club Membership 2021
The Closing date for Club Membership subscription has been confirmed for 31 May 2021. Members who set up a ‘ReturnToPlay’ account in 2019 to complete the Health Questionnaires can access their Foireann account by using the same logon id and password as used last year. If you don’t have a ReturnToPlay account then you can register a new account very easily on Foireann. Go to www.foireann.ie and follow the instructions for New user. If you go to the Club website www.stpatsgaclub.com further information is provided and if you encounter any difficulties send an email to Sean at treasurer.stpatricksblennerville.kerry@gaa.ie<mailto:treasurer.stpatricksblennerville.kerry@gaa.ie>
Last Man Standing Competition
Winner! Winner!! Winner!!! Winner!!!!
After 11 weeks of competition our Last Person Standing came to a conclusion this weekend. The competition started with 263 players and was down to 4 Players this weekend. 3 players had chosen Brighton to defeat Sheffield Utd and the other player had gone for a Liverpool win over Newcastle Utd. Deidre O’Shea is our Last Lady Standing and also wins €100. Congratulations to all winners and a big thank you to the 263 players who supported this fundraising effort for St Pats

2020 Injury Fund Extension to 31 May 2021
Given that no activity has been possible for January to March 2021 a further two-month extension of Injury Fund cover has been ratified by Coiste Bainistíochta. This will now take the 2020 cover term up until 31 May 2021.
This means that the GAA Injury Benefit Fund cover remains in place based on existing 2020 team registrations. Units do not need to register or pay for their 2021 teams until re-invited to do so. Details with regards to registering and payment for the 2021 GAA Injury Benefit Fund will issue once there is more clarity from Government as to what the coming months may look like.
