Juvenile Academy

U6: We had a fun morning in the sports academy today. A good turnout of boys & girls & great to see the improvement in kicking & handling skills. Practice at home certainly paid off for Zach who won our player of the week trophy today for the most improved skills! Keep up the ball touches at home (at least 300 touches [foot or hand] per day is recommended!) See you all next week for more fun & games.
U8: We had a good turnout last Sunday for our boys and girls. It is great to see such enthusiasm by everyone and well done to the parents for getting our young players to the sessions. Don’t forget to keep practicing your skills during the week. Training continues next Sunday at the Kerry Sports Academy Hall at 10am. 10-15 minutes of work at home will make a big difference.
U10: Well done to our player of the week, Eddie Hayes, at last Sunday’s all-action session. Eddie gave a great display of tackling and kicking during the end of session game and was well deserving of the accolade. Isaac is really getting into the swing of things and along with Paddy and Thomas they are showing our older players that they can expect plenty of competitive action during the games. A warm welcome to a new player, Dee, who has never played football before however that didn’t hinder him in getting involved. We hope he will give it a good try over the next few weeks and the under-10 coaches will only be delighted to give him support and encouragement. We divided our panel of players as we had a good number of girls present and they had their own highly competitive game where Erika, Rhíana, Sunnite and Tara showed good improvement. Many thanks to Keelin Enright for assisting with the coaching at the under-10 sessions.

U12: As with all matches, our Tralee Town Board League match against Ardfert away scheduled for last Saturday was postponed due to the weather warning in place at the weekend.
Training continues this Wednesday at the usual time of 4.45pm to 6pm.

U14 Boys: Our second-round game in the Tralee Town Board League away to Austin Stacks B also had to be called off due to the orange weather warning.
We have a bye in the Town League this weekend but will try to re-fix one of the back games. We will be in touch via the usual manner.
U16 Boys: Training continues every Friday night from 5:30pm to 7pm on our astro pitch.
U16 Girls: After a lengthy break, training commences this Monday at 7pm to 8pm on our astro pitch.
