St Pats News 12/08/2019

Lotto
Our lotto will be held on Monday night, August 12th in Keane’s Bar due to Kerry’s involvement in the All-Ireland minor and senior football semi-finals, which took place the day before. Please check our FaceBook page for this week’s winning numbers.

Academy Update
Due to the Kerry minor and senior teams playing in Croke Park last Sunday, we decided to defer our return to academy training to this Sunday August 18th at 10:30am to allow coaches, parents and players travel to Croke Park to support the Kerry teams. We hope to see you all back on Sunday.

Juveniles
U13: Our U13’s welcomed John Mitchels to Blennerville last Thursday evening for a division 2 U13 Tralee Town League encounter and it was a very entertaining match but unfortunately, we came out on the wrong side of it as the match ended on a score line of 1-04 to 2-03. Well done to both sides as they served up some excellent scores with some great skills on display.
Our next match is away to Na Gaeil this Thursday, the 15th at 7pm. Best of luck to all involved.
U14 Girls: Our girls are competing in Division 5 of the North Kerry League and will play Ballymacelligot B in Blennerville this Wednesday at 7pm.
U14 Boys: Our U14 will resume football action on the 12th of August when they welcome Na Gaeil to Blennerville for a St Brendans league match at 5.45pm. Best of luck to all involved.

Seniors
Our seniors play their last match in the County League this Sunday the 18th of August in Blennerville against Firies at 1.30pm. We urge our supporters to come out in support of the team.

Acorn Life U21 Football Championship
St Brendan’s U21’s by virtue of their victory against Kerins O’Rahillys on a score line of 3-20 to 2-20 have now qualified for the quarter-finals of the U21 Football Championship and are drawn to play West Kerry this Thursday, the 15th of August in Annascaul at 6.30pm with extra-time to be played if required. Best of luck to the team, especially the St Pats contingent of Eoin Greaney, Tommy Lynch, Kieran Dwyer, Tom Houston and Bryan Murphy.

Senior Football Championship
Best of luck to St Brendan’s who play East Kerry in round 1 of the SFC on Saturday, 31st August in Blennerville (time to be confirmed) with extra time to be played if required. Former St Pats star, Seamus Murphy is the team manager.

Best wishes

Congratulations and best wishes to Eoin Sayers and Sarah Daly who got married last weekend.

Cúl Camp

The recently held Cúl Camp in Blennerville was a success with over 80 kids participating. Thanks to all the coaches who helped with imparting their knowledge onto these future stars and also to Kellogg’s for sponsoring such a great initiative and to the Kerry County Board for co-ordinating it.

Best Regards,
