St Pats Blennerville Notes 23/11/2020

Lotto
There was no winner of our Club Lotto Jackpot on Sunday night last. The numbers drawn were 08, 10, 26 and 29. The five €30 consolation prizes went to Terry and Annette Boyle online, Joan Devane Blennerville, Joe Looby c/o Poff Motors, Mary Reidy Blennerville and Bridget Boyle Derrymore West.

Next week’s Lotto will have a Jackpot of €3300 and the draw will take place on Sunday night November 29th in The Clubhouse. Lotto tickets can be purchased online, from any club officer or at the following outlets: Seamus O’Sullivan Master Butchers, O’Shea’s Shop and Service Station, Poff Motors, Noyeks, Byrnesworth.

Many thanks to all who contribute to our weekly Club Lotto. The Club cannot emphasise enough the importance of our members promoting the Club Lotto among family, friends and work colleagues. The Covid-19 restrictions have seriously hampered our fundraising and income. The Lotto is now the critical and only source of funds for the Club. We are appealing to all club members to promote our lotto at this time as we are in dire need of funds to keep our club afloat.

AGM

Our AGM will take place this year on Thursday night 10th December at 8pm. Due to Covid-19 restrictions this year the AGM will take place virtually. All club members will be sent information on this in the coming weeks. The club is also aware of our members who do not have access to internet and social media but we plan to facilitate same with on-line assistance in our clubhouse with a maximum of 6 people in attendance. This will change based on the new restrictions that will be in place by the first week in December. If you are interested in joining the committee to help out in the running of your local club, please do not hesitate in contacting any committee member. We are always looking for new committee members with fresh ideas and enthusiasm. The annual general meeting is your opportunity to hear what is happening in your club and to become involved and take an active part in the decision-making process.
All full members are encouraged to attend and make your contribution to the running of the club.
Nominations and Motions for consideration must be with the Club Secretary on or before the 3rd December 2020.

Blennerville Derrymore CFR Blennerville Derrymore Community First Responders wish to acknowledge the financial support of Kerry County Council under the Community Support Fund 2020. This funding has enabled the group to upgrade two training manikins to provide CPR feedback, ensuring that the delivery of training is in line with the latest guidelines from the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) and the American Heart Association (AHA). CPR is a basic lifesaving skill that everyone should learn. Blennerville Derrymore CFR look forward to the easing of Covid-19 restrictions and the prospect of holding future information and training sessions to raise awareness within the community and teach the basic skills of CPR.
Anyone who wishes to learn more about this worthy cause, lend their support or get involved, please contact the Scheme Coordinator at blennervillederrymore.cfr@gmail.com
