Many thanks to all who contribute to our weekly Club Lotto. The Club cannot emphasise enough the importance of our members promoting the Club Lotto among family, friends and work colleagues. The Covid-19 restrictions have seriously hampered our fundraising and income over the last 15 months. The Lotto is now a critical source of funds for the Club. We are appealing to all club members to promote our lotto at this time to ensure our clubs future viability.
Please have your lotto entries in by 7pm, every Sunday evenings.

Juvenile Academy
U5’s: The wonderful sunshine brought our biggest turnout so far this year. Everyone made the most of it, putting in great effort and really working hard. Clearly all the girls and boys have been practicing at home as their kicking has improved and great skills were shown with handpassing too. Oisin Bourke is one of our most senior U5s and he showed a great example to other players with his listening and participation and the player of the week trophy went home with him.
U7’s: An excellent session was had this morning in great conditions. Numbers are growing every week. Huge thanks to all who helped out.
U9’s: Well done to all the boys who attended this week. Skill levels were very high and the lads are improving every week. Well done to Fionn Sharp who was outstanding in the soloing drills and has been practicing at home. Looking forward to next Sunday at 10:30
U11’s: We had perfect weather for our u11’s training sessions on Friday evening and Sunday morning this week, with a big turnout on both days. Our approach is to combine fun games along with skills development. This week the emphasis was on improving skills of high fielding, hook kicks and close-tackling. In the second half of the session, we played mini games of hand passing and kick passing. All the players demonstrated the great progress they are making in their football skills. We saw excellent displays this week from Isaac Price, Charlie Sharp and Hugh Costello. Training continues next Friday 4th June at 6p.m. and the following Sunday at 12 noon at St Pat’s club grounds in Blennerville V92 RH98. A reminder to parents that all players are to have a gum shield and to wear it at training and to register on www.foireann.ie<www.foireann.ie>
U9-12 Girls: What a great session with 30 enthusiastic girls in 3 pods. The coaches are very impressed by your improving skills week on week. The older girls are all very keen to start competitive match play with this surge in confidence! Norma & Fiona will coordinate some friendly matches with girls from other clubs in the coming weeks. Updates to follow in this regard. Coach Nigel joined Norma in pod 1 & was mighty impressed with the girls skills & confidence since week 1, all players stood out & impressed. Pod 3 had great fun under Labhraidh & Kieran & welcomed Eve O’Sullivan who showed great kicking skills for her first session. Mary-Kate & Rosa showed great enthusiasm. Pod 2 had the turn of the trophy.. a very hard pick with such upbeat girls so keen to listen & learn! It could have been anyone of our 9 girls but Grace Costello earned the trophy for showing great determination & motivation during the session despite a wounded knee! Finally as a physiotherapist I find it so rewarding to see such great attendance & enthusiasm with most of our girls turning up at every training session. We’re getting fitted, stronger, more skilful & developing a love for movement & team sport. Parents keep up the encouragement of the girls & beat the statistic of 50% drop out of sports by 13 years old!
U13’s: U 13s are training very well. Skill levels are high and the application in training is superb.
