Juvenile Academy

U6: Well done to our player of the week, Jayden Sinnott. He put in great effort & speed today & was very attentive to instruction in the new fun games we played today. As a group our ball handling skills & understanding of the game is really improving. Great to hear you are all practicing your skills at home!! Keep up the good work.

U8: On a lovely bright morning our under 8 squad gathered last Sunday for the weekly session. It was great to see Jake Kelly back in training again and so full of enthusiasm and effort was Jake that he earned the Player of the Week trophy. ….well done Jake. Eddie Hayes, Gearoid Hingston and James Daly displayed some great kicking and Aoife Kennedy is showing the benefit of the practice she is doing at home. Tommy Costello, Isaac Price and Seamus Hingston carried out some great hand passing with the coaches. We hope all of the under 8 squad continue to practice with the ball at home during the week but mind the windows!

U10: Well done to St Pats under 10s who had a thrilling encounter with a v skillful Na Gaeil side on Sunday last. We look forward to the return leg in a few week’s time. Jack Costello played v well and was our star player of the week.

U12: St Pats U-12’s had a busy week with two County League games. We were away to Ballydonoghue last Monday and at home against Asdee/Ballylongford. Results went our way in both games so a big well done to all our future St Pats stars that played in the games. Thomas Sheehy in goals was rock solid. Zach Howarth, Orlaith Murphy, Eddie Stack Daniel Sheehy, Rory Kelliher, new comers Emmanuel Bramkovic and Quin Griffin defended brilliantly and gave it their all trying to keep the opposition from scoring the minimum. In the middle again Diarmuid Waugh and Fionn Dairo worked very hard and combined well with our forwards. Up front Mark O Brien, Darragh Murphy, Jack Costello, Killian O’Mahony, Rachel Mulgrew, Aiden Hayes, Michael Enright, Conor Daly and another new comer, Lance Byrne got their hands on plenty of ball and worked some lovely scores for their team. It’s important ye all continue to attend our training sessions and also keep practicing yer skills at home during the week. The training and match schedule for the week will be circulated shortly via text message. Naomh Pádraig Abú!!

This workshop will give coaches some ideas on helping to make coaching sessions more accessible and enjoyable to these players.  This will be a practical session that will also give Coaches ideas on different types of games that can be used in all sessions.
